Honor Magic V6 Launched at MWC 2026 with 6,660mAh Battery, IP69 Protection and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

At Mobile World Congress 2026, Honor officially introduced its latest foldable flagship, the Honor Magic V6. With a remarkably slim profile, top-tier durability certifications, a large silicon-carbon battery, and the newest Snapdragon processor, the device signals Honor’s aggressive push in the premium foldable segment.

Alongside the Magic V6, the company also showcased the MagicPad 4 tablet, MagicBook Pro 14 laptop, and a futuristic Robot Phone concept. However, the foldable smartphone clearly took center stage at the event.

The Magic V6 is expected to roll out in select markets during the second half of 2026. Pricing details and storage configurations will be announced closer to launch.

Honor has addressed one of the biggest criticisms of foldable phones — bulkiness. The Magic V6 measures just 8.75mm when folded, making it one of the slimmest foldables revealed so far.

Durability is another major highlight. The device carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings under IEC 60529 standards, offering strong resistance against dust and water — a rare achievement in the foldable category.

The hinge is built using Honor’s proprietary Super Steel material, rated at 2,800MPa strength. It has reportedly passed 500,000 fold tests with SGS certification, suggesting long-term structural reliability.

The phone will be available in Black, Gold, Red, and White, though color options may vary by region.

Dual LTPO Displays with High Brightness

The Magic V6 features two LTPO 2.0 panels:

The outer screen is designed to remain clearly visible even under direct sunlight, thanks to its extremely high brightness levels. The internal folding display uses ultra-thin flexible glass and has received SGS certification for reduced crease visibility. Honor claims a significant reduction in crease depth compared to its predecessor.

Additional display technologies include 4,320Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort, anti-reflective coating with low reflectivity, and NanoCrystal Shield protection to improve scratch resistance.

Under the hood, the Magic V6 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, making it one of the first foldable smartphones to feature this new processor.

The device is expected to support:

• Up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage
• Advanced vapour chamber cooling for sustained performance

It operates on Android 16-based MagicOS 10, and Honor has committed to providing seven major Android updates — a strong long-term software promise in the Android ecosystem.

The rear camera setup includes:

• 64MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom

The telephoto camera features CIPA 6.5-rated stabilization to minimize shake during zoom photography. Both the inner and outer displays house 20MP front-facing cameras for selfies and video calls.
