Motorola has officially announced that it will launch the Moto G96 5G smartphone in India on July 9, 2025. This new mid-range 5G device features a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, a 108MP rear camera, and a 120Hz pOLED display. It is expected to be priced under ₹20,000 and will be available via Flipkart and Motorola India’s official website.

The Moto G96 5G comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ pOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers up to 1300 nits of peak brightness. The screen includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and slim bezels. The phone will be available in Grey and Blue colour options.
It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor built on a 4nm process. The device offers 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, expandable via microSD card. The chipset is designed for smooth multitasking and mid-level gaming performance.
The rear camera setup includes a 108MP primary sensor (Samsung HM6) and a 2MP depth sensor. The front houses a 16MP selfie camera. Camera features include AI enhancements, Night Mode, HDR, and Portrait Mode.
The Moto G96 5G packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. A full day of usage is expected on a single charge. The company is likely to bundle a fast charger in the box.
The device will run on Android 14 out-of-the-box and provide a near-stock Android experience. Motorola is expected to offer two years of Android OS updates and three years of security updates.
The Moto G96 5G is expected to be priced between ₹17,999 and ₹19,999 in India. The first sale is likely to go live on July 9 via Flipkart and the official Motorola India website. Promotional offers and exchange discounts may be announced at launch.
