Nothing Phone (4a)
Nothing has officially introduced its latest smartphones, the Nothing Phone (4a) and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, in global markets as well as in India. The new lineup continues the brand’s distinctive design philosophy with a transparent back panel and an advanced Glyph lighting system, while also bringing several upgrades in performance, display technology, and camera capabilities.
Both devices aim to deliver a premium smartphone experience with improved hardware, AI-powered features, and enhanced user customization.
The Nothing Phone (4a) retains the brand’s recognizable transparent design, allowing users to see certain internal elements such as the battery enclosure beneath the glass panel. The device also includes the signature red recording indicator and introduces a new Glyph Bar lighting system.
This updated Glyph interface includes 63 mini-LED lights arranged across six zones, each capable of being controlled individually. These lights can serve multiple purposes such as notification alerts, charging progress indicators, timers, and visual cues for calls or messages. The lighting system can also work as a soft fill light when capturing photos or videos.
On the front, the phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and delivers up to 4500 nits of HDR peak brightness. During normal use, brightness can reach around 1600 nits, ensuring good visibility outdoors. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone runs on Nothing OS 4.1, built on the latest Android platform.
For photography, the phone offers a triple-camera setup consisting of:

The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro builds upon the base model with a more premium construction and stronger performance. It features a full-metal aluminium frame while maintaining the signature transparent rear design.
One of the most notable upgrades is the Glyph Matrix lighting system, which uses 137 mini-LEDs capable of reaching around 3000 nits of brightness. The system supports multiple interactive functions such as battery indicators, timers, a digital clock, and customizable notification patterns.
The Pro model sports a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 460 ppi pixel density, and up to 5000 nits HDR peak brightness. It also supports a 144Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM dimming for smoother visuals and improved eye comfort.
