Oppo A6 Pro 5G
Oppo has officially expanded its smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Oppo A6 Pro 5G. Aimed at users who prioritize battery longevity and durability, the handset stands out with a mammoth battery capacity and a rugged IP69 rating. Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, the device is now available for purchase through the company’s official channels.
The Oppo A6 Pro 5G is positioned in the competitive mid-range segment. It is available in two storage configurations:
Launch Offers: To make the deal sweeter, Oppo is offering an instant discount of up to Rs. 2,000 for customers using credit cards from HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and AU Small Finance Bank. The phone is currently live on Oppo’s online store in two elegant finishes: Aurora Gold and Cappuccino Brown.
Under the hood, the Oppo A6 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor, paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This setup is designed to handle daily tasks and moderate gaming efficiently.
On the front, the device features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD screen. While the resolution is standard, it compensates with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,125 nits, ensuring the display remains legible even under direct sunlight.
For photography enthusiasts, the handset sports a dual rear camera system:
Selfies are handled by a 16-megapixel front camera. Notably, the rear camera supports 1080p video recording at 60fps, which is a welcome addition for content creators in this price bracket.
The highlight of the Oppo A6 Pro 5G is undoubtedly its 7,000mAh battery. Oppo claims this massive cell can provide up to 40 days of standby time. Despite the large capacity, charging won’t be a day-long affair; the 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging can juice up the battery from 0 to 100% in just 64 minutes.
Oppo has emphasized “Life-Proof” features by including an IP69 rating, providing high-level protection against dust and high-pressure water jets. For security, the phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock. Connectivity options are comprehensive, featuring 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port.
