Oppo Find X8 Ultra shown in silver and black color options with a sleek camera layout
Oppo is all set to take smartphone photography to the next level with its upcoming flagship — the Oppo Find X9 Ultra. Expected to launch later this year, this premium device could debut with cutting-edge camera capabilities, top-tier performance hardware, and even a custom Hasselblad-backed external photography kit — a first for Oppo.
According to a tipster post on Weibo by Digital Chat Station, Oppo will introduce new Hasselblad-powered mobile imaging features in the Find X9 lineup. The brand has reportedly extended its partnership with Hasselblad to develop next-gen smartphone imaging solutions, which may include external lenses or photography kits.
This follows a growing trend among Chinese OEMs: Vivo recently launched the X200 Ultra with a Zeiss-backed lens, while Xiaomi introduced the 15 Ultra with a Leica-powered photography kit. Oppo could soon join that elite club.
Leaks suggest that the Find X9 Ultra may house a quad rear camera system, featuring two 200MP sensors and two 50MP periscope lenses. These lenses may offer variable focal lengths, supporting superior portrait, night, and telephoto photography.
Under the hood, the Find X9 Ultra is likely to pack the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (Gen 4) processor, delivering high-end performance and energy efficiency. The display is also expected to be a flat 1.5K OLED panel, providing crisp visuals and a premium user experience.
Interestingly, Oppo is reportedly developing a MagSafe-style wireless charging system for its future smartphones. This system may support 50W AirVOOC wireless charging and include a 0.2mm magnetic ring integrated into the phone’s back panel. According to sources, this ring won’t impact charging speeds or efficiency. Although Oppo hasn’t confirmed the release date, it could debut soon.
While there’s no official word on the launch date, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is expected to arrive by the end of 2025. If it launches with a Hasselblad photography kit and new imaging features, it could be a serious contender in the ultra-premium camera phone segment.
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra appears to target users who value professional-grade photography and futuristic tech. With a 200MP camera system, Hasselblad accessories, and MagSafe-style charging, it could rival Vivo and Xiaomi’s top-tier Ultra models.
If priced right and backed by strong software, this could be Oppo’s best-ever flagship — one that excites mobile photographers, tech enthusiasts, and premium buyers alike.
