POCO appears set to expand its popular X-series lineup in India, and multiple teasers now hint that the launch is just around the corner. A new Flipkart microsite carrying the tagline “Stay tuned for neXt,” with the letter ‘X’ highlighted, strongly suggests that the upcoming announcement is related to the POCO X8 Pro family. The URL of the microsite reportedly mentions “Coming Soon March 26,” indicating that the official unveiling could take place on that date.
Although the company has not formally confirmed the product name, the branding clues and design teasers align closely with expectations for the POCO X8 Pro series.
The teaser visuals reveal a device with a flat rear panel and a vertically aligned dual-camera system housed inside a pill-shaped camera module. The two sensors appear slightly raised and are surrounded by metallic rings, while a circular LED flash sits alongside them. The POCO logo is positioned towards the lower-left corner of the back panel.
The overall styling closely resembles the recently launched Redmi Turbo 5 in China. POCO has historically rebranded Redmi devices for the Indian market with minor software and pricing adjustments, so there is a strong possibility that the X8 Pro may borrow heavily from that hardware blueprint.
According to leaked retail box images shared by tipsters, the POCO X8 Pro may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. The device is tipped to feature:
The phone has reportedly appeared on benchmarking platforms such as Geekbench as well as Indian certification portals including Bureau of Indian Standards and Indonesia’s SDPPI, suggesting that launch preparations are in advanced stages.
If these specifications are accurate, the X8 Pro will position itself as a performance-focused mid-range smartphone with an emphasis on battery capacity and fast charging.
In addition to the standard Pro model, leaks suggest that POCO may introduce a Pro Max variant. This version is said to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, which is believed to power the Redmi Turbo 5 Max in China.
An alleged AnTuTu listing shared by tipsters indicates a higher benchmark score for the Pro Max, although direct comparisons remain difficult due to differences in benchmark versions. The Pro Max has also reportedly surfaced on Indian certification platforms, strengthening speculation about its arrival.
If launched, the Pro Max could cater to users seeking stronger performance and possibly enhanced gaming capabilities within the upper mid-range segment.
The expected price range for the POCO X8 Pro series is likely to fall between Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000. In this bracket, it will compete with offerings from brands such as iQOO, Realme and OnePlus, all of which provide AMOLED displays with high refresh rates and fast charging support.
On paper, a 6,500mAh battery paired with 100W charging gives the POCO X8 Pro a competitive edge, especially for users prioritizing endurance and quick top-ups. However, final pricing will play a crucial role. If POCO maintains its traditionally aggressive pricing strategy, the device could attract performance-oriented buyers. A higher price tag, however, would put it in direct competition with well-established alternatives.
Alongside the X8 Pro series, Flipkart is also teasing the POCO C85x 5G. This device is expected to be a more affordable offering and may build upon the foundation of the POCO C85 5G launched in late 2025, which featured a Dimensity 6300 processor, 50MP dual rear cameras, and a 6,000mAh battery.
The C85x 5G is likely to target entry-level 5G buyers looking for large batteries and basic performance at a lower price point.
The Flipkart microsite suggests a possible launch date of March 26, though POCO has not officially confirmed it yet.
Leaks indicate two variants: the POCO X8 Pro and the POCO X8 Pro Max.
The standard model is tipped to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, while the Pro Max may use the Dimensity 9500s.
The POCO X8 Pro is rumored to pack a 6,500mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging.
While not officially confirmed, the design similarities with the Redmi Turbo 5 suggest it may share core hardware elements, as seen in previous POCO rebrands.
As the official launch date approaches, more confirmed details are expected to emerge. If POCO delivers strong pricing alongside the rumored specifications, the X8 Pro series could become a significant contender in India’s mid-range smartphone market.
