Realme GT 8 Pro
After its successful debut in China last month, the Realme GT 8 Pro is officially set to launch in India. The smartphone will arrive on November 20 at 12 PM IST, coinciding with the launch date of the Lava Agni 4, setting the stage for a major flagship showdown in the Indian market.
Realme confirmed the launch through a dedicated microsite, which has gone live with key specifications and design teasers, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from its most powerful GT-series smartphone yet.
The Realme GT 8 Pro, part of the GT 8 lineup launched in China on October 21, will make its Indian debut almost a month later. The phone is confirmed to run on Qualcomm’s flagship 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, coupled with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for top-tier performance.
To further enhance graphics and AI performance, Realme has integrated a Hyper Vision+ AI chip. The device also includes a 7,000 sq mm Vapour Chamber (VC) cooling system, ensuring stable temperatures during extended gaming or multitasking sessions.
One of the standout features of the Realme GT 8 Pro is its 7,000mAh Titan Battery, designed for long-lasting power and endurance. According to Realme’s claims, the battery can deliver:
It supports 120W Ultra Charge wired fast charging, capable of offering “all-day power in just 15 minutes.” This marks one of the fastest charging systems currently available in any mainstream flagship smartphone.
The Realme GT 8 Pro will feature a 2K resolution AMOLED display with an impressive 7,000 nits of peak brightness and up to a 144Hz refresh rate. This ensures ultra-smooth visuals and excellent outdoor visibility, catering to gamers and content creators alike.
In terms of design, the handset features a metal frame and a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera, giving it a clean and modern aesthetic. Weighing 214 grams, the device maintains a premium feel while still offering durability. The phone will also come with an IP69 rating, offering enhanced resistance to dust and water — a first for any Realme flagship.
For photography, the Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to house a triple rear camera setup with swappable camera modules and Ricoh GR Imaging technology, promising flagship-level detail and dynamic range. While full camera specifications are yet to be disclosed, Realme’s partnership with Ricoh hints at an improved imaging experience focusing on true-to-life colors and clarity.
The smartphone will boot Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0, bringing new AI features, improved animations, and a cleaner interface. Realme is expected to introduce enhanced personalization tools and performance optimizations tailored for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
