HONOR has shared additional details about its AI Image to Video 2.0 feature, which is set to debut on the upcoming HONOR 600 Series smartphones. The company says the update brings what it describes as the industry’s first on-device unified multi-modal video generation model, aimed at offering users more advanced mobile content creation tools.

The new version follows the rollout of the earlier feature on the HONOR 400 Series. According to the company, users of the previous generation created more than 13.4 million seconds of AI-assisted video. With AI Image to Video 2.0, HONOR is now focusing on improved interactivity, greater narrative control, and broader accessibility.

HONOR 600 Series AI Image to Video 2.0 Features Detailed

HONOR says the HONOR 600 Series will integrate a multi-modal visual-language architecture directly on the device. The system is designed to process different forms of input, including text, images, and video, while combining video comprehension, generation, and editing in a single workflow.

The company claims the model is built around deep semantic understanding, allowing users to interact with the feature through natural language prompts. HONOR also says the system is designed to preserve visual consistency during generation, using multi-angle subject construction and free composition techniques to maintain structural coherence during complex camera movements and scene transitions. It is also said to include enhanced privacy and data security measures.

One of the key additions is an Image and Instruction to Video feature. With this, users can upload as many as three reference photos and enter conversational text prompts to direct on-screen motion. The goal is to provide more control over how generated video sequences appear.

HONOR is also introducing First-and-Last Frame Generation. This feature allows users to select separate opening and closing images, after which the AI generates a transition video between the two scenes. The company says supported video duration can range between three and eight seconds, giving users some flexibility over pacing.

The updated suite will also bring an expanded template and effects library. According to HONOR, this will include preset stylisation options, multi-frame transitions, and more complex cinematic camera effects such as bullet time, Hitchcock zoom, and world-transformation effects.

Another notable addition is a dedicated AI button on the HONOR 600 Series. The hardware button is expected to provide one-tap access to video generation features. When enabled in settings, a long press can reportedly launch the feature directly from the local gallery or while viewing images within third-party apps such as X, WhatsApp, and Instagram.

HONOR 600 Series Launch Date, OTA Rollout Details

To highlight the storytelling aspect of the new tools, HONOR has also released a promotional street interview video based on the theme of “unfinished dreams,” showing how static photos can be converted into dynamic video clips.

The HONOR 600 Series will launch globally at an event in Malaysia on April 22. The launch event is scheduled to begin at 3pm MYT, which is 12:30pm IST.

HONOR says the AI Image to Video 2.0 feature will be made available through an over-the-air (OTA) update. The company notes that actual performance may vary depending on environmental conditions and usage scenarios. It also says access to the feature, including possible free trial eligibility during the initial sales period, may differ across regions. After any applicable trial period, continued access may require a subscription or payment.
