Motorola has launched the Motorola Edge 70 Pro in India, expanding its Edge series lineup with a new premium mid-range smartphone. The latest offering comes with a large AMOLED display featuring a high refresh rate, MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, and a sizable 6,500mAh battery. The handset also focuses on camera performance, durability, and a slim design despite packing a high-capacity battery.

The smartphone features a sleek form factor and offers multiple finishes inspired by Pantone colour palettes. It also includes advanced durability features such as IP68 and IP69 ratings along with military-grade certification.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro Price in India, Availability

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro price in India starts at Rs. 38,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB model is priced at Rs. 41,999.

The handset will be available for purchase starting April 29 via Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and offline retail stores.

As part of launch offers, customers can avail of a Rs. 2,000 instant discount using HDFC and ICICI Bank cards or opt for an additional Rs. 2,000 exchange bonus.

The device comes in three Pantone-inspired colour options — Lily White with a marble finish, Tea with a satin luxe finish, and Titan with a fabric-inspired rear panel.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro Specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano) Motorola Edge 70 Pro runs on Android 16 out of the box. The company has promised three Android OS upgrades along with five years of security updates.

It sports a 6.8-inch 1.5K (2,772 x 1,272 pixels) 10-bit AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 5,200 nits peak brightness. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It also features a large 4,600mm² vapour chamber cooling system for improved thermal management.

For optics, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro is equipped with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA-710 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus and macro capability, and a multispectral sensor. On the front, it houses a 50-megapixel autofocus selfie camera capable of recording 4K video at 60fps.

The phone is equipped with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and includes USB Type-C audio. Connectivity options include 5G (SA/NSA with support for 17 bands), dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

The handset is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance and meets MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards.

Despite measuring just 6.99mm in thickness (7.29mm for select finishes), the Motorola Edge 70 Pro packs a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 90W TurboPower fast charging.
